Saving & Publishing - Content Publishers

How to Save & Publish as a Content Publisher

As with any other electronic document, it is crucial to save frequently. In the CMS, it is important to note that saving a page does not automatically update that page on the live site; to do that it is necessary to save and publish the page.

Saving & Publishing Your Content

1. Click the Save button in the upper left part of the WYSIWYG editor.


2. You will be taken to a screen with a preview of the saved page, with various options:

 3. To publish the page click publish button.

  • At the menu screen click the green Publish button.

  • To continue editing the page, click the Edit button.

  • Some users will have an Edit Source button to edit the editable region's raw HTML code.
  • To Revert to a previous version of a page, go to the page.
  • Click Versions button.
  • Under the Versions screen, hover over the menu bar for the version and click Revert. A confirmation dialog will appear.


  • Click Revert.

Publishing Content Sent for Approval

Content Publishers are responsible for checking Content Provider's work for accuracy, style, and formatting before publishing. When a provider submits content to a Publisher for review, the Publisher will receive an email in his or her UCR email account and the page will show up on the Dashboard tab's Workflow section in the CMS.
