Why a CMS?
The UC Riverside Content Management System (CMS) is designed with two purposes in mind: The first directive is to allow campus units to develop and maintain timely and relevant web resources, and the second objective is to allow UCR to develop a common and consistent method of displaying content on the internet.
Benefits of the CMS
The UCR CMS fulfills both of these directives. The CMS gives campus constituents access to a library of high-quality web templates, and makes web editing as simple as using a word processing program. Technical staff retain the ability to develop complex and dynamic web solutions, while others gain the ability to effortlessly maintain their websites.
In addition, the UCR CMS will offer a host of features enabling campus units to easily provide access to news, directory & campus calendar information, multimedia content, and emergency notifications.
